In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover trial of 30 adults with obesity (Effects of once-weekly semaglutide on appetite, energy intake, control of eating, food preference and body weight in subjects with obesity, Blundell and colleagues, Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism , 2017), 12 weeks of once-weekly semaglutide titrated to 1.0 mg was associated with less hunger, fewer food cravings, better control of eating, and a lower preference for high-fat foods
